Aloha! I’ve recently returned from a wonderful & relaxing vacation, all because of kelly & katie… I’m so happy they decided to have a destination wedding in hawaii! They planned mini-events during this fun-filled, wedding weekend for all their family & friends who could make the trip {my personal fave was the catamaran, and of course karaoke night!}. But, after the Ceremony on the beach, the reception was held at the honolulu zoo = free admission!
I cannot wait to see the photos from their big day {photography by Novalee Photo}.
Below are just a few of my quick shots:
The wedding cake was such a hit {from Paradise Pastries}; not only the adorable hand-sculpted monkey’s, but the palm tree, brown-sugar beach sand & fondant water. Plus, I loved the starfish & sand dollar white chocolates {which complemented their invitation design}.
Everything was so simple yet perfect for their theme; from the entertainment under the white tent on the zoo lawn {hula dancer & ukulele singer > hawaii hula company} to their favors & shell decorations. Also, instead of an actual guest book, I designed a “postcard” tent for their guest signing table… we purchased the vintage hawaii postcards at a local ABC store.
Afterwards, we hiked Waikiki’s Diamond Head… then off to Kauai for a few days {which I highly recommend if you haven’t been yet} 😉
*check out Krellers Islander Getaway {room 345 shown}… it was a perfect location & accommodation, plus the owners were wonderful to work with!
