Q} I would love to add a Wedding Map to my invitations, how does this work? And can I print them myself?

A} A wedding map is such a fun addition! Start the map design process by purchasing the map listing at my Etsy shop. Once your map is designed & approved, we will sends a hi-res digital PDF file ready for you to print on your own card stock or at a local printer. note: if you purchase a full invitation print order from Papercake Designs, a map design will be included.

Q} Do you offer any DIY assistance? I would love the creative help… & to save a few dollars!

A} YES, check out the ‘Do-It-Yourself’ section at our etsy shop.

Q} Can you create a personalized monogram for our wedding?

A} Of course! Papercake Designs can create complex monograms {includes 3 design revisions & the final files to use throughout your wedding for event stationery/lighting/napkins, etc.}  check out the DIY Graphic Design Etsy listing for more info!

Q} Is there a minimum or maximum quantity I can order?

A} You can order any quantity you need {but no less than 20}. If your event is small, choose my Digital DIY package and print at home or at a local printer. Remember, for invitations it’s usually recommended to order 5-10% more than you think you need, just in case. (also, count your guest addresses, not per person).

Q} Do I need to know the number of guests for my event before I start a custom design?

A} No, we can begin designing your stationery before you get a final count. however, once you decide who you’re inviting, be sure to give us the number of addresses on your list, plus 5-10%, rather than the number of people!

Q} What printing techniques do you offer?

A} All prices include four-color offset (flat) printing. However, you can order my diy digital design listing and print anywhere that offers foil or letterpress printing.

Q} Can I view an actual sample before I start an order?

A} Yes, check to see if the pre-printed sample is available to order at our etsy shop or request a specific sample from the portfolio section and we’ll send an etsy custom order or paypal request {you’ll pay the price per paper good along with a few color sample swatches to choose from plus shipping & handling}. Or, start the design process for your custom invitations via the ‘contact’ page. I can start a layout of your custom design for a $50 design fee deposit, which will be applied to your final order. We’ll then send you a sample for final approval as part of your order!

Q} Can you create an invitation based on my cake design? or vice versa?

A} Yes! If you already have your cake picked out, send us a link or image via email so we can start work on your matching stationery design {or set up a consultation to create a design in person… If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area}.

Q} Do you offer eco-friendly paper choices?

A} Of course, we can change the paper to recycled for most of our designs. Just request ‘recycled paper’ when starting a custom order. {note: Not all companies offer recycled paper, so this can limit your color choices.}

Q} Will you print my return address on my envelopes? and can I get the guest addresses printed, too?

A} Yes, we can print on the back flap of your outer envelopes = ¢.75 each …  OR check out the ‘all-in-one’ guest/return address label wraps to match your custom design = $1.25 each [see etsy listing for more info]

Q} How much will it cost to mail my invitation?

A} Postage varies depending on invitation weight & size [square shapes cost more to mail]. You should weigh the final assembled invitation at your local post office before buying stamps. *you can also save on paper & weight costs by requesting an RSVP postcard instead of a response card and envelope {it’s eco-friendly too}. Also check out our flat card invitations with tear-off perforated response cards {custom designed for any occasion}.
