[real wedding] A magical affair at a California Mansion

AndieAugieWeddingMemoire Studio

While searching for a past clients wedding day photos, I came across these stunning images …thank you social media! Congrats to Andie & Augie, married on September 10, 2016 at Kohl Mansion in Burlingame, California. [photography by Mémoire Studio].

We customized my square, booklet-style pocket folder invitation suite by incorporating their navy, blush & beige theme colors. For the reception stationery, we picked up all the design details from the invites onto the menus, seating cards, and program fans (Andie tied her own ribbon embellishment onto the fan sticks)! I also love that we added the gold-glitter card stock to the escort tent cards & menus, a very glamorous touch.

And finally, they requested a unique guest book alternative [Wed-Libs], which we also personalized to match the rest of their stationery design! Check out the various wedding Mad Libs ideas via Pop-Sugar; [14 Free, Fun, and Printable Wedding Mad Libs].

[photography] turn your photos into art

printcopia

I love the look of canvas on my walls. And of course an easy DIY project … like wrapping my leftover handmade paper on blank canvas to give or keep as unique wall art. [fyi: I use a staple gun though, instead of mod podge].

DIY_WallArtPaperCanvas

But wait, Printcopia is a new way to turn YOUR photos and snapshots into works of art, with a variety of printing materials and options to choose from including gallery-quality canvas, sleek acrylic, and glorious panoramic printing. You can upload your own images [even from instagram or facebook] directly on their easy to use website; just choose size, image & any custom details.

[tech style] wedding party app…for the guest photos

Wedding Party

So, yes… the professional photographer should always be the main artist focused on the couples’ very important photos… BUT… what a great idea this app is for the guests! They can capture all those random moments the bride & groom miss during the cocktail, dinner & reception hours. Love it… check out all the benefits too! Have you used it yet??

[wedding stationery] leah + rob in malibu

reception stationery vintage style typography

Congrats to Leah & Rob, married on September 10, 2011 in Malibu, California!
Uyen (their sassy-girl wedding coordinator) asked me to design the wedding reception stationery, which included their unique program fan + menu & table signs! These beautiful photos were shot by Lane Dittoe Fine Art Wedding Photography

> their wedding program fan was printed on 5×7 bracket cards, with the main ceremony & reception info printed on the front card & their creative Thank You on the back card. I then adhered each card together with a jumbo stick in between.

[real wedding] grace + leo

Congrats to Grace & Leo!
Married July 2, 2011 in Beverly Hills, California.

I’m so happy I can finally showcase this unique wedding invitation suite along with the awesome photography from grace & leo’s big day! {my favorites are shown below by brandon kidd photography}

We first designed their
eye-chart save the date postcards, {which we also used on their escort tent cards, shown below}. The personalized monogram was based on the Ishihara color plate! This was a very difficult design process for me, but one I DO NOT regret 😉 especially since they added the monogram to their cake {by Scrumptious Wedding Cakes}!  We slipped the RSVP & Wedding Map enclosure cards behind the tall, 2-layer invitation and added an orange grosgrain ribbon to hold it all together. Of course we had to add the matching all-in-one guest /return address label wraps to the outer orange envelopes! fun-fun!

The wedding reception stationery matched the invitations, but we added blue card stock instead of the peacock color for the layered ceremony program. Also shown above is their square menu fan with eye-chart escort & table number tents below.

[real wedding] jessica + jon in georgia

Congrats to Jessica & Jon, married on June 11, 2011 in Augusta, Georgia!
I’m super happy jessica contacted me last year to design their custom monogram, save the date tickets and wedding invitations (all shown below). I just love how they used their green and ‘J’ theme throughout their ceremony & reception…especially the monogram on the cake + dance floor!  yay!

And thanks to mom, Gwen, who directed me to the wonderful wedding day photos

[digital designs] snap up my designs at snapfish

Snapfish recently opened up their doors for designers to create & sell their digital artwork, and I’m excited to share that I now have a store on their US & UK website!  snapfish lets you download & store all your photos. Below are just a few of my favorite samples showcasing what I’ve designed so far for these categories: holiday cards, baby announcements, thank you notecards, plus wedding save the dates & announcements.
